This is an extremely large Carcharocles megalodon shark tooth from the Miocene of South Carolina. The root of the tooth is very robust. The serrations are worn, but present. The middle part of the tooth has been polished for a better display. The other side of the tooth has nice, black enamel preserved. This is a very large example of a fossil ''Meg'' shark tooth from the river deposits of South Carolina.
